Camo Design:
This camouflage scheme is obtained by using several different colours of paint as well as many different stencils. I generally use Tamiya Spray paints as they are available in many great camouflage colours, are very easy to work with and their finish is very even.

The stencils are cut from thin plastic sheet, used as document protectors. They are cut along there seams and folded out to produce an A3 size piece. The clear plastic is placed over the item to be painted and patterns can be drawn directly onto the stencil. Branches and tree trunks can be drawn on and the layout is up to the individual. All sorts of foliage shapes can be used - leaves, ferns, twigs, reeds.

After all surface preparation is done a background colour is applied to represent the primary terrain. In this case a light background was needed and I used Wooden Deck Tan and Dark Yellow in a more traditional pattern.
Next I applied vertical grey 'tiger stripes' just to simulate tree trunks from a distance.

After this step I stenciled on some detailed branches.

Next I use various leaves, grass and foliage stencils and apply them randomly to the entire surface. A dark green and a light green spray paint are used to provide a more realistic environment.

I have even used this camo scheme on a red dot scope so that it matches the rifle.
